During the catastrophic earthquake that occurred on Baishak 12, Deepshree creative media formed a “Sharing happiness increases happiness” group and volunteers group and operated relief programs. Not only inside Kathmandu valley, but the groups participated actively in operating relief programs in various other places outside the valley including Nuwakot, Sindhupalchowk, Kavre, Dhading. In this campaign, along with the provision of financial, physical and the warm clothes, a psycho-consciousness campaign was conducted by the young philosopher Dr. Yogi Vikasananda. Unless the youth like us does not participate themselves in contributing to the country in this time of need, the country and its people would not be able to breathe in peace. Keeping that in mind, we went ahead with the slogan stating, “Let’s do what we can, let’s do from wherever we can, let’s do something for the country “. Also, after the earthquake, a campaign named “Deepshree in school” was launched by this group to help the children with trauma and fear caused by the earthquake to concentrate on their studies through the medium of entertainment. Not only did we spend quality time with the children but also provided free speech trainings which helped them to enhance their abilities.
